Welcome to Wildriver Rabbitry.
Wildriver Rabbitry is a small rabbitry located in Roseburg Oregon along the North Umpqua river. Since I have limited space,
I currently only have a total of 22 cages, a small herd of 17 rabbits. I mainly focus on Mini Rex and am just getting into
Mini Satins. I also have a couple of Velveteen Lops but I am not currently raising them since I don't have the room to raise
larger breeds.
Mini Rex Program: Right now I am focusing on Broken Black, Sable Point, Tort and Broken Tort Mini Rex but will occasionally
keep other varieties to use for breeding.
Mini Satin Program: I am currently focusing on White.
Member of the American Rabbit Breeders association (ARBA), Oregon League of Rabbit and Cavy Breeders (ORLRCB) and Mini Rex
Fanciers of the Greater Northwest (MRFGNW).
About me
My Name is Natalie. I am currently an ARBA member and am working on joining some other local clubs as well. I have been
raising rabbits for about 6 or 7 years and have had several different breeds throughout this time. These include English Lop,
Satin, Rex, Holland Lop, Mini Rex and Mix breeds. Most of these breeds did not work out for me but the Mini Rex have outlasted
them all and have become one of my favorite breeds. I started raising rabbits in 4-H and invested in a pair of Mini Rex that
I used for a breeding project. I soon decided that two rabbits were not enough and began to expand my herd. My mom played
a big part in keeping me interested in raising rabbits by taking on the challenge of being the 4-H leader of my group for
several years before I became too old for it. I then decided to focus on ARBA and working on my own rabbitry, which I have
been working on for several years now. I have also recently decided to take on the challenge of raising the beautiful Mini
Satins and have enjoyed this breed about as much as the Mini Rex.
